About The Well Water Home

Why we exist

Roughly 43 million people in the U.S. get their drinking water from a private well (USGS), and the owner is responsible for testing and treating it, not the EPA. Most of us find out something is off from an orange stain, a smell or a lab report full of numbers. This site turns that report into a plan.

Our approach

Test first, then treat in the right order: sediment, iron and sulfur, hardness, taste, then UV last. We compare real systems you can buy, show the sizing math, and tell you when a licensed plumber or your health department should be involved.

Independent

We're a small editorial team. We don't take free products or paid placements. We earn a commission from Amazon when you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you.
